Crash out or Rest up?
It’s ok to rest. Strike that, it’s more than ok, it’s one of the six essentials to life.
Self-limiting beliefs that allow us to hold onto the work ethic of you have to work your fingers to the bone, will only ever lead to exhaustion, whelm and dis-ease. We prop it up with caffeine and chemicals to keep us artificially elevated. The crash is always longer and more severe when you override our natural response to rest.
Listen to your body. If you need a coffee to get up in the morning and a beer or 2 to wind down, then pause for thought. What else can you change to help you through? Your health will thank you for it.
