Those three little words

I had a discussion with myself the other day. (I quite often have those, it’s a strange place really, to be in my head haha).

I posed myself the question – how often do I tell the people that I love, that I love them?

The smug me answered easily – all the time! Actually, it is true. I always finish each phone call to my children with, love you.. I always tell my partner in life, love you… I even tell my closest friends as we part, love you.. It is an automatic au revoir moment, I don’t think about it a lot.

In short, I had got complacent.

I always hold others accountable for their actions. One day I will write down the story that brought me to the realisation on how this makes life beautiful and easier, but that’s for another day.

Accountability, as with everything else, starts with self. Two days ago, I held myself accountable for love towards people in my life. This is how I did it:

FIRST…. You have to FEEL love and become love.

SECOND…. you tell them that you love them sincerely … and that is it!

It really is that simple. Becoming present in the moment changes everything. Instead of the roll off the tongue “love you”, I say it with conviction, character and most importantly, with meaning. It changes everything.

When you push love out into your space, you will be incredibly suprised how much love comes back at you. You never know whose life you will change, including your own. Because, guess what?! I have never known one person who wouldn’t benefit from a “hit” of love every now and then. Maybe it was exactly what was needed at that time. (And trust me, that happens A LOT).

Start feeling and sharing LOVE with those you wish to, your health will thank you for it.
