Joy, Farmer’s Markets and helping out your fellow businesses

Living on the Sunshine Coast Queensland, we are very blessed in that we have many farmer’s markets that take place each weekend. As we move into being able to go back to communal spaces, I have found that I am doubly grateful for being able to buy my vegetables at the market.

So many of us find food shopping a chore and something to get done quickly but since going back to the markets, I have found joy buying in buying my weekly food. I love being able to chat with the stall owners, many of which have farms themselves, and push my money back into my local economy.

I love being able to see the different colours and vibrancy of the vegetables and the different diversity of seasonal veg and how that influences my cooking for the week. If you have a market near you, take some time and go visit. It’s a wonderful experience!
