Live a Stretchy Life

Most people start off a New Year with new plans to get fit and eat well.  It’s a good philosphy.  I don’t know of any reference papers that suggest that regular exercise and eating nutritionally, for the most part, would cause you any harm and I would actively encourage it. I would also add in one more parametre:  Decide to live more happily.

Stretching your mind is just as important as stretching out the physical.  In fact one impacts upon the other, or so I have found.

If you are struggling mentally, pushing the physical can give you a well-earned break from the emotional turmoils and calm down the thought process.

If you are struggling with the physical, your emotional and mental state will get you through the barriers that seem so formidable.

Growth comes internally and externally.  Stretching your comfort zone benefits your health, emotional and physical and doing both at the same time means you can use one to prop up the other.  Endurance training is rarely solely about physical fitness, it’s about building up the mental stamina to keep going despite the tough road ahead.

Streeeeetch out your mind, Streeeeetch out your body, your health will thank you for it.
